Doris Kareva is a poet, translator and editor. She has published 25 books of poetry, essays and short prose, translated various authors (Akhmatova, Auden, Beckett, Brodsky, Brontë, Dickinson, Gibran, Kabir, Rumi, Shakespeare etc) and compiled anthologies.
