Poet Seda Suna Uçakan was born on 26th of May in 1983 in Ankara/Polatlı. She completed her primary school education in various cities of Turkey and her primary, elementary and high school education were completed in Bursa. She graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, the department of Comparative Literature and she still continues to study to get her master’s degree in the same college. She works as an academic in her own field and she also works for a publishing house as an editress in İstanbul. Besides Turkish, her native language, she can also speak English and French. She continues her literary works by translating novels, poems and short stories from English and French.
She believes that reading poems is crucial to write poems and she tries to understand the universe and convey its messages with her poems. Her poems and writings have been published in various magazines and she has a poetry book called “Pay Susuşları”. Her poems have been translated into English, French, Indian. She lives in İstanbul/Turkey.
